Character Biographies

Jim LaFata

He is employed at a warehouse club giving out free food samples. He is a non-practicing Catholic. Jim is a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan. He can make music with bubble gum. He has some quirky views on life. Teddy LaFata is his younger brother.

Jim is played by Don Fishburn. He has his B.F.A in Film & TV from New York University. He enjoys performing but prefers writing and directing. He has written two other sitcom pilots.


Barry Caplinger

He is employed as a security guard. He is an Army veteran. Barry is a born again Christian. He is a big Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Barry while being a generous person is known for leaving servers tiny tips. He has come up with the term EIA for when a man gets into an argument with a woman and doesn’t know why.

Barry is played by Ed Timothy. He started acting in 1999 in Los Angeles, CA after serving in the Army for 12 years. Ed mainly did background work on movie and TV sets, but did land a contract role on the soap opera General Hospital. He also had the lead role in a project titled “He Has Come To Rescue” for the Los Angeles Christian Film Festival. He became a member of SAG and AFTRA while in LA. His training includes: Cold reading and scene studies with Bob Beecher, Acting at In His Presence Church in Studio City, CA, and Soap Opera scenes with Gwen Hillier. In recent years he has performed in small projects, short films, and for commercial contests in the Reading and Philadelphia, PA area.


Alana Garcia

She is a single mother employed as a secretary. Her son’s name is Ricky. Her overbearing mother drives her crazy. She is a practicing Catholic. Alana is a fan of the Cleveland Browns. She likes to look good and is always well dressed. She has invented the term TOPJ for when a man makes one of his typical decisions.

Alana is played by Katiria Cruz. She started acting while attending Reading Senior High School in the play “Enough is Enough Stop Teen Violence”. She performed as a former member of Nueva Esperanza Church with pantomime, dancing, spoken Word of God, and music ministry. She acted in short films and small projects in the Reading, PA area. She studied cold reading and scene study with Ed Timothy. Katy studied acting/modeling through Lindsy Ray Talent in Philadelphia, PA.


Ella Traczuk

She is single and employed as a waitress. She is germophobic but gets mistaken for a hypochondriac. She carries hand sanitizer everywhere. Ella is a non-practicing Protestant. She has low self esteem. Ella has been friends with Jim since they were kids. She is good friends with Alana. She once had a huge crush on Fred Flintstone. She is a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Ella is played by Sandi Trait. She really enjoys acting and embodying different characters. She had been in numerous theatrical productions, murder mystery dinner theaters, and Renaissance Faire for many seasons. In film Sandi has 2 IMDB credits. She really enjoyed being part of The Booth and is excited for season 2.


Vincenzo Buzzanca

He owns the restaurant and pizzeria. He considers himself an artist with food. He has been married to Lena for over 20 years. Vincenzo is a huge fan of the New England Patriots. He thinks Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time. He is known for going to great lengths to save money. Vincenzo has a short temper. He claims that he has been mistaken for Robert De Niro.

Vincenzo is played by Mario Caloiero. He appeared in one episode of “Against The Law”. He is excited for the opportunity to act again.


Suzzana “Suzy” Alshefski

She has been divorced twice and is looking for an honest man. She is employed by Vincenzo as a server. She doesn’t like her job. She has 6 tattoos. Suzy is superstitious. She is a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. She is a non-practicing agnostic. She has coined the term “barried” for when she has received a bad tip from a guest. She is not shy about letting guests know she controls their food from the kitchen to the table.

Suzy is played by Terri Gentile. In addition to The Booth, Terri has appeared on television’s Oxygen and Investigation Discovery networks “Good Morning America”, “Nightline”, and Canada’s Travel & Entertainment Channel.


Teddy LaFata

He is employed as a cook. He is divorced and his ex’s name is Barbara. Teddy is a Navy veteran. He is conspiracy minded. He is a non-practicing Catholic. Teddy is a big fan of the New York Giants. He is least favorite child in the family.

Teddy is played by Fred Frackler. This is Fred’s first acting experience. He is looking forward to Season 2.
